Cisk Tap
Located on the rooftop of the Farsons Brewhouse, Cisk Tap, designed by Openworkstudio and Forward Architects, is seen as the home of Cisk within its former home. The centrepiece is none other than the bold bar made with pigmented and rammed concrete that recalls the familiarity of the homely village bar – albeit on a much grander scale.
Tico Tico
Tico Tico, one of the earliest bars in Strait Street to undergo its new-age revival, remains a firm favourite for its location in the heart of Valletta’s nightlife district, its charming character and, of course, a delectable menu of food and fancy cocktails.
Kuch-Kuch
Within Mercury in St Julian’s is Kuch-Kuch – an eccentric bar designed by DPM Studio that kicks everything up a notch or two. From its uninhibited design and bold detailing to its elaborate cocktails described as liquid storytelling, it’s a space designed for a night of fun.
Kingsway
Fine dining and disco are the order of the day at Kingsway in Balluta, an elegant restaurant and cocktail bar designed by DAAA Haus who took its cues from the original, art deco-inspired Valletta cafe while setting this space up for an after-hours night of revelry – with its own dedicated DJ stand.
The Apothecary Cocktail Bar
Dim lights, steampunk accents and an expansive wall of bottles are just some of the details that give The Apothecary in St Julian’s a curiously mysterious air – and curiosity indeed beckons for the alchemy that takes place behind the bar, where a variety of cocktails are conjured and crafted with skill.
Medusa Sky Bar
Located on Level 10 of the AX ODYCY hotel in Qawra is Medusa Sky Bar, a club dedicated to the female figure from Greek mythology who inspired the bespoke design of a two-and-a-half metre statue by artist Kane Cali. With its elegant interior and stunning view, it sets an upscale tone for the night ahead.
