Architect, architectural historian and associate professor at the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Malta, Perit Conrad Thake, was the recipient of the 2022 President’s Award, presented at the Malta Architecture and Spatial Planning (MASP) Awards.
The awards, organised by the Planning Authority and held under the Patronage of the President of Malta, seek to recognise and promote quality architectural and interior design projects ‘that promise to leave a mark for decades to come’.
The President’s Award, considered the top honour, recognised Prof. Thake’s contribution to the practice, theory and education of the profession, and his lifetime of service to it. Â
Prof. Thake has authored and published several books on Maltese architecture, most recently, a book titled Architecture – Visions on Paper (2022), and Art Nouveau to Modernism: Architecture in Malta, 1910-1950 (2021).
