You may have dreamt it – a kitchen with a striking stone-effect containing a built-in snack bar, open shelves set against a bold backsplash that becomes its own feature wall, or a coordinated system that extends from your cooking to your living area in a most seamless way.
These solutions – and what appears to be an infinite choice of options to personalise your kitchen – are well and truly real with Arredo3, an Italian kitchen manufacturer represented locally by Form, founded by three members in 1984 who combined know-how with hard work and forward-thinking use of technology to build and evolve their business.
At the heart of it all is personalisation, where mix-and-match collections, details and systems are combined in distinct ways to build kitchens unique to the end user, both functionally and aesthetically.
With a choice of Modern and Classic collections, we’re highlighting stand-out models from each range – and how you could make them your own.
Modern – Kali
It’s hard to overlook Kali, dubbed as Arredo3’s best-selling modern kitchen model to date since its launch in 2014. Its popularity is a direct result of the customisability it offers coupled with a flexible and adaptable design.
Choose a door made from matte or gloss PET, a classic laminate with a wood, stone, metal or colour-effect finish, a door handle or recessed option, and tall units designed to house any of your favourite pastimes, be it a dedicated wine or coffee cabinet. With the help of the team’s designers, you could also furnish your living area in a way that complements the kitchen, creating a continuous transition between spaces.
Modern – Time
With a choice of 72 finishes, Time stands out for its youthful appeal and range of lacquered colours – specifically 33 matte, 33 gloss and 6 metallic finishes in neutral, vibrant and current shades. The clean lines of its doors emphasise the impact of colour, while the Millarighe or ribbed door, crafted with successive vertical millings, creates a dynamic play of light and shade when illuminated.
Time also makes use of Arredo3’s Flex system, increasing the potential for customisation. For instance, with the Maxxi modules, doors reach all the way down to the floor to cover the plinth, creating an elegant monolith. With the Lateral door, the same style extends width wise, so that a panel extends from the side of a cabinet, offering a good grip for opening.
Classic – Opera
Described as Arredo3’s classic kitchen par excellence, Opera is aimed at anyone who appreciates classic lines. It features a 45° cut frame door in solid ash with a subtle contoured profile and pared back decorative motifs, which can also be produced with a clear glass door.
Open-pore lacquered finishes – where the wood’s grain is visible – is available in 33 varieties, spanning from neutral shades of white, ecru and grey that underscore its classic style, to bold shades of matcha or dark chocolate for a contemporary finish. Opera’s open compartments, wall units, shelves and baskets can extend towards a coordinated living room, from a TV stand and bookcase to elegant display cabinets.
Classic – Joyful
Affectionately named Gioiosa by Arredo3, this classic model retains the charming details of traditional kitchens that remain widely sought after, imbued with the practicality demanded by contemporary living, be it through fully equipped drawers and baskets or island accessories for optimal comfort.
With doors composed of solid ash frames and a particle board panel as well as a raised trim, they evoke the style of a bygone era infused with modern sensibilities. Doors are also available in a display cabinet style with etched glass, giving Gioiosa a timeless, multifaceted edge.
