Through decades of business and an ever-changing food and beverage landscape, Busy Bee has stayed the course, consistently building on its offering and outlets in line with the demands of the times. That said, its famed kannoli have remained unchanged – save for new editions along the way.
From a humble coffee shop along the Ta’ Xbiex seafront to another three outlets in Mriehel, Sliema and Fgura comes the latest offering by Busy Bee – this time, on the road.
The brand announced its very first kannoli food truck, located on the grounds of Pama in Mosta, which is as identifiable as any of its other stores through its maroon livery and gold bee branding.
Duncan Friggieri, Business Development Manager at Busy Bee, shared via LinkedIn “For over 90 years, Busy Bee has been synonymous with the finest kannoli in Malta, a tradition that dates back to 1933. Today, we are taking this cherished legacy on the road, bringing our beloved kannoli closer to you.”
“This project has been in the pipeline for around four years, and we are beyond excited to finally see it come to life. Our new food truck will offer the same delicious, high-quality kannoli that you know and love, now with the convenience of a mobile experience.”
The vehicle’s design draws elements from its stores and branding, including a honeycomb-inspired backdrop in a complementary colour scheme and a marble countertop that are charmingly packaged in a compact, retro-inspired van.
