From its humble beginnings in 1964, Bortex Fine Tailoring has gone on to become a household name for men’s tailoring, making its mark in Malta’s manufacturing, retail and, more recently, hospitality sectors – the latter through the launch of its 1926 Collection of luxury hotels and properties.
To mark its 60th anniversary and its forward-thinking ethos, the Group shared a series of AI-generated images in collaboration with Krystie Gerada, co-founder and creative director of DPRO, a studio specialised in creating 3D visualisations for architects and designers.
The images, which combine elements synonymous with tailoring, such as scissors and buttons, are shown in exaggerated proportions against distinctly Maltese and Mediterranean backdrops, which aim to symbolise the Group’s vision for the future of manufacturing, retail and hospitality.
“Celebrating 60 years of exceptional service and unparalleled quality. As Bortex Group Holdings, we are honouring our rich heritage by collaborating with Creative Director, Krystie Gerada,” the company announced.
“These AI-generated images symbolise our forward-thinking vision for the future. We embrace the future in our manufacturing, retail and hospitality areas, while staying true to our roots. Here’s to blending tradition with innovation and looking ahead with pride and excellence.”
The creative director, who announced this project as her first solo collaboration, produced the images with a mix of Midjourney, A1111, Fooocus and photoshop.
Bortex, which was established by Sunny Borg and is now a third-generation family business, has expanded in recent years to include casual, women’s and kids’ clothing from a selection of international brands, alongside its tailoring, hire and made-to-measure services, as well as its own brand, Gagliardi.
