As the industry leaders for colour matching and predictions, Pantone’s annual Colour of the Year (COTY) choice is highly anticipated – and often a subject of debate. Its 2024 colour choice is no different.
The colour experts selected ‘Peach Fuzz’, or Pantone 13-1023 as their top choice for the new year, describing it as a colour that “captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It’s a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.”

More than just a colour, these COTY predictions by leading colour and paint brands are understood to be a reflection of ‘the mood of the moment’ that find application in all areas of the real world, from fashion to graphic design to interiors.
Described as subtly sensual, the experts at Pantone explain that Peach Fuzz “is a heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration.”

“A warm and cosy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others or for enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz presents a fresh approach to a new softness.”
Its announcement for 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Pantone’s Colour of the Year programme. Beginning in 1999 with a blue shade called ‘Cerulean’ up until ‘Viva Magenta’ for 2023, the programme has come to be recognised as a global expression of current times thorough colour.
