Brewhouse Malta and Trident Park were name overall winners yesterday at Din l-Art Ħelwa’s XVII Architectural Heritage Awards Competition, a programme organised by the NGO with the support of the Kamra Tal-Periti.
The extensive regeneration project in Mriehel, which was inaugurated this year following more than a decade of collaboration and works, transformed the expansive industrial site into a state-of-the-art green office campus and a mixed-use development occupied by the former Farsons Brewery.
Brewhouse Malta and Trident Park won the Judge Maurice Caruana Curran Award, named after the founder of Din l-Art Ħelwa, which is awarded to the best overall winner in all categories. They also won the first category, Regeneration of an area.

TBA Periti, who led the site’s extensive redevelopment alongside Ritchie Studio, congratulated the winners for winning both categories, saying their victory is “another testament to all the hard work carried out by Ritchie Studio and TBA Periti on this regeneration project. A big well done to all those involved!”
The awards competition serves as an initiative by the NGO to “encourage and motivate architectural best practice”, in line with its mission to safeguard Malta’s cultural heritage and natural environment for future generations.
