Is it a sofa? Is it a bed? It’s both. Space, by dedicated Italian bed brand, Noctis, is a perfect example of space-saving design. Depending on the model, it can work as a sofa for the day and a bed for the night, while two large laminated wood drawers that are manually pulled in and out on wheels provide ample storage space underneath. Honey – Molteni & C
Characterised by its upholstery in fabric or leather, Honey – designed by Israeli designer Arik Levy for Italian brand Molteni & C – is a simple yet elegant bed displaying the refinement of a skilled tailor. The container below the mattress opens with a swing mechanism for easier access to the compact compartment, while the front opens to allow access to a horizontal lift for comfortable bed making. With a broad collection of headboard styles that could be fitted to various bed bases, including storage beds, Spanish brand Mobenia prioritises customisability for all components of its sleeping products. For Pars, designed by Carlos Tiscar, a unique headboard design allows for various practical accessories to be integrated at different heights: a reading lamp, a hook for hanging objects, and a shelf that doubles as a bedside table, while storage within the bed frame adds another layer of functionality. Arpeggio by Dorelan
With its winged and oversized headboard, tactile upholstery and generous base, the Arpeggio bed by Dorelan ticks several boxes. Forming part of the MyDesign collection, the base is customisable to feature orthopaedic inserts, a bar for single mattresses on a double bed frame, and a storage system that permits the mattress to be raised both with a 45-degree inclination and parallel to the floor.
