The rechargeable T.Moon portable lamp by In-es.Artdesign is inspired by its namesake. Made from the brand’s own material called Nebulite, which is a mix of resin and fibres, it’s a romantic and atmospheric light source that mimics the uneven qualities of the moon’s surface.
Panthella Mini by Louis Poulsen
Designed by influential Danish designer and architect Verner Panton, the Panthella table lamp has a hemispherical top shade that directs light downward onto the trumpet-shaped base. Originally designed in 1971 and available at Louis Poulsen, it’s a playful piece that suits all surroundings. Available locally at The House Shop.
Tatou by Flos
Spanish architect and industrial designer Patricia Urquiola was inspired by the Far East for the design of Tatou table lamp by Flos. Made from polycarbonate, it is modelled on classic Japanese armour, which is seen as an example of resistance as much as of lightness and flexibility. Brand available at ESS.
La Perle by Tecnolumen
Swiss lighting designer Nico Heilmann used heat-resistant plastic strips to create a range of table and pendant lights, including La Perle for Tecnolumen. The lamp combines playful forms, allowed by the flexibility of the material, with soft lighting, and includes a cable dimmer for the ideal light intensity.
