Ceramic studio THISS Clay released a summer collection of handmade pieces featuring “whimsical cats, delectable cake-inspired designs, and an array of carefully crafted and screen-printed wheel-thrown cups and vases.”

Asymmetric objets, playful trinket boxes designed as fruit-topped cakes, and a bright red candelabra – described by the brand as “crafted with the precision of a pastry chef and the artistic finesse of a toddler decorating a gingerbread house” – are among the items available in this collection.
Feline fans may be drawn to the cat candleholders or a cake-shaped ashtray displaying ‘lungs’ across its base, which is a reflection of the tongue-in-cheek humour and charm THISS brand is known for.

The creatives behind the small studio are Matt and Sophia, who pursued ceramics following experiences in different design industries.
The duo describes themselves as being “in love with everything perfect and imperfect”, and channelling their opposing design styles in “this wonky but whimsical pottery business.”
