Still Time – Joseph P. Smith
A 50-year retrospective photography exhibition marking the practice of Joseph P. Smith traces his decades of image-taking and making into an immersive presentation on display at Valletta Contemporary. Curated by Lisa Gwen Chetcuti, the exhibition reflects on photography as an act of suspending time – both for the viewer and for the photographer whose work reveals a heightened act of seeing, anticipating, framing and revealing, inviting viewers into a narrative where personal memory and collective recognition overlap. Until 20th June.
Echoes of Now – Chris Ebejer
Set within the splendid Oratory of the Immaculate Jesuit Church in Valletta is an exhibition of sculptures by fine artist Chris Ebejer, whose magnetic display, curated by Prof. Paolo Giansiracusa, offers viewers an opportunity to delve into a world of beauty, elegance and stillness, while providing a “moment of reflection in a world overwhelmed by chaos and controversies”. The exhibition’s layout, which harmonises with the intricate Baroque beauty of the Oratory, creates a wonderfully immersive setting. Until 7th June.

Botanica Anima – Vania Goshe
Rooted in the tradition of floriography and reimagined through a personal and contemporary lens, Vania Goshe’s solo exhibition Botanica Anima, or The Soul of Flowers, is a contemplative exhibition that explores the inner life of flowers as symbolic vessels of memory, emotion, and spiritual presence. In this body of work on display at Christine X Art Gallery in Siema, each bloom becomes a threshold between the visible and the invisible, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect. 5th-27th June.

The awards, divided into three main categories, will all be showcased at the event either through the physical display of artisanal products, digital presentations of projects still at the proposal stage, or recognitions granted to artisans. Until 28th June.
Architopia - Echoes of Elsewhere – Glenn Ellul
Glenn Ellul presents a series of intricate ink drawings in his solo exhibition Architopia at Il-Kamra ta’ Fuq in Mqabba, curated by Melanie Erixon, in which he explores an invented architectural ideal of a constructed ‘place’ suspended somewhere between utopia, fantasy, and psychological space. Drawing from a personal archive of visual memories shaped by local architecture and travel, the artist constructs impossible cities, suspended ruins, sacred interiors, and speculative monuments that appear both ancient and futuristic, inviting viewers into dense visual environments that gradually reveal themselves the longer one lingers within them. 12th-28th June.
