THE STUDIO
Angie the Architect is a Malta-based boutique architecture and interiors studio with a deeply human view of design. Spaces influence how we feel, how we connect, and how daily life unfolds. This understanding sits at the heart of the practice.
Being boutique allows the studio to work closely and personally. Rather than passing through layers of a large organisation, clients are listened to, understood and guided by a team that remains present from the first exchange of ideas to the last detail on site.
Yet its scale should not be mistaken for limitation, says studio founder Angie Sciberras. “The studio brings the experience and assurance to undertake ambitious, complex work and has earned the trust of private clients and major international brands,” she notes.

“Practical decisions aren’t separated from emotional ones, because the spaces that stay with us are those that work beautifully while making us feel something.”
There is no house style to be applied from one project to the next. Instead, the studio looks for what is particular: the history held within a building, the way it is experienced now and the life it needs to support the next. The design grows from there – and what emerges feels distinctive because it belongs to its people and its place.
“This way of working brings imagination and rigour into the same conversation. Colour has purpose. Materials bring warmth, texture and character. Light, proportion and movement are considered with equal care,” says Angie.
Alongside her work, Angie researches workplace evolution and speaks publicly on the subject. This forward-looking enquiry runs through every commission, considering what people need from a space now, how those needs are changing and what the architecture must make possible next.
“The result is architecture with clarity, quiet confidence and character: spaces that feel alive, deeply considered and entirely themselves.”

FEATURED PROJECTS
THE TEAM
Angie Sciberras is the Founder and Lead Design Architect of Angie the Architect Studio. A graduate in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Malta, she established the studio in 2015.
Her relationship with architecture is instinctive, shaped by an early turning point in her life and an understanding of how deeply our surroundings can affect us. For Angie, a space is never simply a backdrop. It can influence how we feel, how we focus, how we relate to one another and what becomes possible within it.

Angie listens to what clients say and notices what may remain unsaid. She studies how people move through their day and where a space is supporting them or subtly working against them. From there, she considers the space in evolution, bringing its history, present demands and future life into conversation.
Angie brings extensive experience across projects of different scales and levels of detail. Her expertise extends well beyond design. She understands the realities of delivering work in Malta, from identifying the right people and navigating costs and procedures to drawing on trusted relationships with contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.

Remaining closely involved throughout, she ensures the thinking behind every brief and specification is understood and carried into execution.
The studio comprises talented individuals whose strengths span architectural research, design development, client relationships and visual communication. Each brings a distinct perspective while sharing the same commitment to thoughtful work, clear communication and precise execution.
This breadth of expertise allows the practice to remain personal in scale while responding confidently to the particular demands of each commission. For Angie, architecture succeeds when people can feel the thinking behind it without needing to have it explained: “when a space feels considered, distinctive and natural to the life taking place within it.”
