Established in 2004 in Sliema, Christine X Art Gallery celebrates the artistic expression of emerging and established local, European, and African artists.
Christine Xuereb Seidu is a Maltese gallerist, curator, entrepreneur, and creative professional with a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in the visual arts. As the founder and owner of Christine X Art Gallery, she has dedicated her career to promoting contemporary art through exhibitions, artist representation, cultural collaborations, and international networking.
The gallery has become a respected platform for both emerging and established artists from Malta and abroad, fostering meaningful connections between artists, collectors, and the wider public.
Holding academic qualifications in Art History and Anthropology from the University of Malta, together with a Master’s degree in Innovation and Creativity, Christine combines scholarly knowledge with entrepreneurial vision.
Throughout her career, Christine has curated numerous exhibitions in Malta and internationally, expanding the gallery’s portfolio to include artists from Europe and sub-Saharan Africa.
She has played an important role in introducing African contemporary art to Maltese audiences and has project-managed commissioned exhibitions that promote intercultural understanding through the visual arts. In addition to overseeing gallery operations, she contributes to Malta’s cultural landscape through writing, public engagement, and artistic projects.
Her dedication to innovation, collaboration, and cultural exchange has established Christine X Art Gallery as one of Malta’s leading commercial galleries and has earned her a respected place within the country’s artistic community.
