“The true satisfaction of choosing one of our kitchens lies in the pleasure it brings to everyday life.” Cesar says this with pride – confident in the knowledge that its family business has, for over 50 years, crafted and delivered a quality product with the stamp of Italian design.
Anahit Sahakyan, Export Manager and Business Developer at Cesar – represented in Malta by JoinwellFxb – says “for us, the kitchen is not just a functional space where meals are prepared, but the heart of the home — a place where ideas are shared and moments turn into memories. It is a space where people can be themselves and connect with others.”

Equipped with individual character and a sense of exclusivity, Cesar kitchens become a source of contentment to their owners, and a source of pride to their creators. “Many clients return to us years later, whether for a second home, for their children’s homes, or even to update their original kitchen after decades — often noting how perfectly intact it remains over time,” says Anahit.
A distinct Italian identity
Since the earliest years of its operations, Cesar has placed innovation, design, and heritage at the heart of its evolution. “A key driver of our growth has been constant investment in new materials and advanced production technologies. Our commitment to research and development ensures that we stay ahead of design trends while remaining faithful to our Italian identity,” says Anahit.
In 2014, the company – by then already managed for more than a decade by Gina and Dante Cesar, the founder’s daughter and son – marked an important milestone when it entrusted its art direction to Garcia Cumini Studio.
“This collaboration led to the evolution of the Maxima 2.2 system, followed by the launch of the Unit collection in 2016 and the Tangram collection in 2022. These collections not only reflect Cesar’s ability to interpret contemporary lifestyles but also positioned the brand as both an early adopter and a trendsetter in the international kitchen design industry.”
A distinctive element is that kitchens are conceived not as single collections but as complete systems, so that they can be mixed and matched to furnish other areas of the home.
“Unlike standard modularity, our approach ensures that these combinations never feel repetitive; instead, they are always surprising, unique, and deeply personal. The same finish, for example, might be applied in different rooms, yet the result never looks uniform or ‘one brand fits all’.”
The importance of quality
For most homeowners, the decision for buying one kitchen over another is motivated by the idea of investing for the long-term – which makes quality a non-negotiable requirement.
The brand collaborates with some of the most renowned marble quarries in Italy to offer clients a range of exquisite surfaces as well as the possibility to request tailor-made finishes. For their high-end wood collection, Cesar established a partnership with the internationally-recognized company TABU, which provides access to more than 500 unique wood finishes.
“This breadth of choice, combined with our design expertise, ensures that each kitchen is not only aesthetically remarkable but also fully aligned with the client’s lifestyle and functional needs.”
The focus on durability applies not only to external finishes but also to internal components. “For this reason, we use ecological panels and panels with V100 certification, the highest level of water resistance available on the market, across the entire kitchen rather than in selected parts,” says Anahit.
“We also prioritise premium hardware, such as hinges and drawers capable of supporting up to 70kg each, ensuring functionality that matches the elegance of the design.”
Anahit emphasises that the brand designs with both beauty and functionality in mind where, beyond refined finishes, clients can explore geometric elements such as curves, varying thicknesses, and layered wall depths to create a more dynamic and contemporary aesthetic, but also enhance functionality by providing additional usable worktop space.
“Versatility is another key factor: our dress-up elements, for example, are designed to transition seamlessly from the kitchen to the living room, entrance, or bathroom. In this way, the kitchen becomes part of a broader, harmonious vision of the home,” says Anahit. “A dream kitchen should not only reflect personal style but also connect effortlessly with other living spaces.”
