For decades, Pippa Toledo has carved her own space in Malta’s interior design scene – gaining a well-earned following for bringing spaces to life with a soulful approach to functional design and artful decoration. Be it in fashion or interiors, her style is distinct – and so too is her art.
Pippa’s new exhibition, The Language of Colour, currently on display at Camilleri Paris Mode in Rabat, features a collection of abstract works that embody the same sense of joy and fearless use of colour as her interiors.
Floral paintings feature layers of delicate blooms in striking compositions, brought to life in soft tones of pink, purple and green.
Equally enchanting are the instinctive abstracts and wistful landscapes, each piece rooted in tiers of colour and movement.
A self-taught artist, Pippa launched her first solo exhibition, Textures, in 2003 with a collection of modern paintings in acrylics inspired by her late father’s own passion for art. Alongside her paintings and interior design work, Pippa’s creativity extends into the world of jewellery design, fashion and lifestyle.
The exhibition is open until Friday 1st August and can be viewed during the shop’s opening hours.
