The idyllic gardens of Palazzo Parisio set the stage for the launch of Carla Grima Atelier’s summer collection – a world defined by colour, pattern, design and that quintessential Mediterranean aesthetic that has become synonymous with the brand.
The launch, which included an intimate sunset dinner, featured the brand’s latest resort collection alongside a curated choice of homeware, from hand-painted dinner sets to silk-printed lampshades.
“This event has lived in our minds for years, a studio-born concept finally realised in full bloom,” the studio shared. “It was a complete sensory story brought to life.”
A Scent of Summer offered guests a glimpse into the brand’s design journey through a series of collaborations that invoke the taste, sound, colour and scent of this season – from whimsical floral arrangements by Botanical Curiosities to a selection of home decor, ranging from rugs to rattan lamp bases, by Maison Souk.
From citrus motifs to rich florals, wild foliage and nature in full bloom, Carla Grima’s collections are rooted in nature, untamed landscapes and life on a Mediterranean island.
The designer translates her vision into watercolour paintings that are printed onto fine silk fabrics and transformed into individual pieces, ranging from two-piece sets and kaftans to dresses and playsuits.
The full collection can be viewed at Salt & C, The Westin Hotel, St Julian’s.
