Design and nature converge in the distinctive lighting piece named BLOOM – the result of a collaboration between design and architecture studio DAAA Haus and Italian brand Contardi Lighting.
“This debut collaboration redefines illumination, merging craftsmanship, innovation, and organic inspiration into a sculptural statement,” the studio states.
BLOOM – which fuses Contardi’s expertise in lighting and DAAA Haus’ visionary design approach – seamlessly embodies artistry and functionality.
“Inspired by nature’s fluid forms, it offers a harmonious balance of elegance, materiality, and light,” says DAAA Haus. “With BLOOM, light transcends function to become an immersive and emotional experience.”
The sculptural design piece was showcased at Milan Design Week 2025 – at Salone del Mobile and Fuori Salone – making it the first Maltese brand that is known to have ever exhibited in Euroluce since its first event in 1976 and held biannually since.
“Euroluce has since garnered its reputation as a premier international lighting exhibition that continuously features exhibitors from leading design and manufacturing brands, which strengthens the international scope with participants from numerous countries over the years.”
Last month, BLOOM formed part of a curated installation by the Malta-based studio – with offices in Milan and Ragusa – named Selva Viva, housed within a historic building inside the Durini Design District.
The display, which featured design collaborations between DAAA Haus and other local and international brands, was presented as “an ecosystem designed to remind visitors that nature is essential not only for its beauty but also for collective well-being.”
