Fuelled by the desire to create bathrooms that elicit feelings, emotions and sensorial experiences, Spanish brand Acquabella has designed a complete and complementary suite of bathroom fixtures that are anything but ordinary.
“Everything we do does not go unnoticed,” the brand states. “We play with shapes, colours, materials, and all possible combinations to evoke emotions and trigger memories, earning a place in the minds of others. We capture, transmit, and express feelings and ideas through our designs.”
Founded in 1994, the brand has been represented on our shores by Banju Boutique for over 25 years. Throughout this time Acquabella expanded its facilities and offering, while sealing its status within the bathroom industry through the creation of Akron®, a high-quality material capable of achieving “products with extraordinary shapes, textures, and colours, ideal for bathrooms with personality.”
From coordinated shower trays and wall panels to sleek free-standing baths and countertops, keep reading to discover highlights from their range.
Delia basin
Two qualities immediately draw the eye towards Delia – it’s striking design and refreshing range of colours. True to Acquabella’s commitment to originality, Delia is a modern basin that combines functionality and cutting-edge aesthetics. It features smooth shapes, a decorative relief and micro-texture that would elevate the style stakes of any bathroom, both if it’s installed on a cabinet or wall-mounted. From a cobalt blue version to mint green or rosy pink, the tricky part lies in choosing a favourite.
One countertop
From the texture to the length and of course the colour, practically any element of the One countertop can be customised. Suitable for supporting countertop sinks as well as an additional shelf, the One model is highly adaptable, made possible by the dynamic qualities of Akron® that allows for high-definition textures, unique shapes and an infinite range of colours to be produced.
Round bathtub
With its unique circular design and a depth of 55cm, the freestanding Round bathtub is an invitation for relaxation as much as it is an aesthetically-defining fixture in a bathroom. It is made from Acquabella’s Dolotek® material – which uses dolomite stone and polyester resin, finished with a gelcoat layer on the exterior for excellent durability, a smooth texture and a stunning white finish.
Shower trays
This product category might be the one that sets this brand apart – both for its sheer variety of shower trays as well as for the virtually limitless ways they may be tweaked and tailored for any bathroom, be it the size, colour or format. Among them is Alma Slate, which retains the charm of a stone effect yet with a minimalist grid that ensures efficient water drainage; Base Zero, which boasts a modern design and smooth finish; or Smart Quiz, with its unique geometric design composed of several high-definition textures and a hidden drain at the centre.
Wall panels
For an eye-catching wall design option beyond the standard tiles, there’s Hera – a range of 3D, decorative wall panels by Acquabella that brings a sense of playfulness and personality. Also composed of Akron®, the large-format panels feature a continuous wavy design available in a whopping 2,000 plus colours that are easy to install and keep clean.
