A striking centrepiece
Conceived by Bartoli Design, the Mellow ST table by Italian brand Bonaldo features soft curvilinear shapes that are simultaneously striking and sculptural. The base, made of curved elements moulded in high density polyurethane, is topped with a swivelling surface composed of an external section in wood and a rotating internal section made of ceramic. It’s a stand-out table on account of its size, looks and function.
A nostalgic & functional chair
With a structure that bears resemblance to a classic rocking chair, the Continuum D. 163. 7 chair is the kind that will always have a place inside a home. Having recently been added to the 2024 Collection of Molteni&C’s Heritage catalogue, the armchair, designed by Italian pioneer Gio Ponti in 1963, displays exquisite craftsmanship through the expert processing of Indonesian rattan, a natural material intricately interwoven and curved at every step.
A dynamic display
With Alambra, upscale Italian brand Rimadesio proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of classic furniture typologies, ranging from sideboards and display cabinets to chests of drawers. The collection, which includes an elegant vitrine fitted with concealed compartments for efficient use of internal space, is characterised by the precise aluminium structure, a detail-oriented design, and discreet LED lighting integrated into the shelves.
A collectible
Gio Ponti’s D. 151. 4 features among his most celebrated chair designs, and now part of Molteni&C’s Heritage range. Known for his expertise and passion for nautical furnishings, the architect and designer created this collectible chair for use aboard four ocean liners and two cruises, which were upgraded or built from scratch after World War II, between 1949 and 1951. With its wrap-around frame, solid wood feet and brass ferrules, the D.151.4 is as striking as a chair can get.
A modern classic
The Chesterfield design and sleek silhouette of La Scala, a sofa by Natuzzi Italia intended as a tribute to the famous opera house in Milan, has transported a classic and traditional style into the modern age (see main image). Designed by Claudio Bellini, La Scala features a quilted and hand-buttoned backrest and arms in a beautiful expression of craftmanship, making this sofa model a functional and strikingly stylish piece of living room furniture.
A one-off piece
This one-off lamp – a rare piece which is no longer in production – designed by exclusive furniture brand Theodore Alexander, is a standout model that blends modern design with luxurious materials, resulting in a decorative item suitable for an eclectic space. The base is wrapped in faux crocodile leather in a deep ebony finish, accentuated by a chrome trim, while the warm, structured design of the shade complements the sleek base.
