As we enjoy the last few weeks of summer, the imminent start of a new season becomes a recurring thought, along with all the domestic preparation associated with it. That includes giving our homes the seasonal spruce-up, whether it be switching out soft furnishings or making room for new additions.
If it’s the latter, Kave Home’s new Autumn/Winter collection might be the right antidote to post-summer blues. The Spanish brand’s latest release, on display at Form within a dedicated shop-in-shop, is all about bathing the home in warmth. The collection “is an ode to balance, where harmony and expressiveness converge in the form of contemporary elegance,” as the brand describes it.
Channelled through the use of warm woods, soft fabrics and natural stone, each piece was designed with the intention of fostering “a connection with nature that invites us to escape the daily hustle and enjoy a welcoming calm.”
One of the stars of this collection is the Martina three-seater modular sofa with a left-hand chaise longue. Inspired by the trend of organic shapes, it features an asymmetric design with curved and round volumes, upholstered in recycled polyester with a fleece effect for optimal comfort. It is the latest addition to the Martina collection that also includes a swivel chair, armchair and footrest in the same style.
Forming part of the Japanese-inspired Onix range is a sideboard, chest of drawers, bedside table, TV unit and display cabinet in a walnut veneer. With a design reminiscent of the Shoji doors commonly used to separate rooms, this range is characterised by “serenity and order”, where “each piece merges minimalist design with contemporary aesthetic, transmitting peace and tranquillity.”
A star among the Elan collection is the bed, composed of solid walnut wood and veneer that combines the warmth of timber material with a pared-back, minimalist design. The headboard, covered in handwoven rope details, stands out for its unexpectedly rustic finish.
For the living and open areas, the Pirita side and coffee tables make for a timeless addition. Composed of solid oak wood and available in three shades, the table’s rounded form – which combines into nesting table sets – brings a unique quality to a space.
Not limited to furniture, Kave Home’s new collection includes a broad choice of textiles, ranging from soft handmade wool floor rugs to cotton or furry cushion covers, as well as decorative pieces that carry the natural-looking aesthetic throughout the home, intended to provide a distinctive touch.
Paper mâché, recycled glass and terracotta vases add colour and character, while stone sculptures and abstract canvases bring an artistic and lasting impression. “Each piece has been chosen to complement and enhance the essence of your home, combining style and functionality in perfect harmony.”
