Its location alone is a reliable indicator of the exclusive nature of the luxurious Iniala Harbor House and Residences – perched along St Barbara Bastions in Valletta, it boasts one of the most remarkable views of the Grand Harbour and Three Cities; a front-row seat to historic landscapes while surrounded by the best possible comforts.
And now, its principal eatery, ION Harbour by Simon Rogan, has been bestowed with an internationally-recognised stamp that no other restaurant in Malta has ever received: Two Michelin Stars.
Led by Chef Patron Simon Rogan, an award-winning British chef whose Lake District restaurant L’Enclume holds Three Michelin Stars, ION has entered a league of its own – especially for its food, but also for its service and overall experience offering.
The restaurant’s design – executed by Turkish studio Autoban – is an interpretation of its historic location, married with a contemporary aesthetic. Among its many striking features are the marble flooring, timber-paneled ceiling, a mosaic skylight and choice of soft furnishings in colours that draw connections to the sea views and limestone buildings all around.
