Maltese interior design studio, Rebirth, was recognised at the International Property Awards, held in London, for its work on an apartment project named Timelessness.
After winning the Best Residential Interior Apartment Malta award, the founders of Rebirth, Paul Cuschieri and Malcolm Abela Sciberras, expressed feeling “proud and privileged” for the recognition.

The co-founders described the experience as a “wonderful opportunity to network with other interior design industry professionals from all over Europe, share our views on the evolving market, and take part in design panel discussions on important topics, such as the importance of water in design, the value of quality over quantity, and what excites us about the future of our sector.”
The winning project features an open-plan layout designed to draw guests into the space without compromising on everyday comforts.
A soft colour palette dominates throughout, and in the kitchen and main living area, shaker-style doors and panelling add a rustic edge to this modern space.
“The kitchen features a white-engineered work surface with lacquered brass elements, while the living room’s wall unit radiates a soft luminescent glow and provides ample storage,” they say of this project.
In the sleeping quarters, pastel-coloured textiles and warm wood tones, as seen in the oak-clad wall and louvered partition, create a tranquil setting.

“With a look steeped in natural appeal, the apartment’s loose furniture is upholstered in natural colours and finished in timber, such as the striking Timothy Oulton dining table. The floors are a light-coloured parquet, and the main bedroom includes an oak-panelled wall and wardrobe with white doors and oak accents – every detail crafted to benefit body and mind.”
The annual International Property Awards, which are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe, “celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.” The awards are split into regions and participants enter at their relevant national level, and have their work judged by an experienced team of professionals from across several building-related disciplines.
