In a collaboration between Zara Home and Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen – whose namesake studio delivers projects that combine the disciplines of architecture, interior and product design – the home retail giant presents a range of products intended for dining and entertaining.
The collection includes tables, chairs, furniture and tableware that Zara Home describes as “reflecting warmth and versatility through their simple silhouettes, noble materials and timeless manufacturing.”
From a selection of larger pieces of furniture, such as a sideboard, cabinet and a dining table, to linen napkins and stainless-steel cutlery sets, the collection seeks to imbue the spaces it occupies with a homely yet wistful aesthetic, achieved through the combination of tactile materials; from textiles to timber, and ceramic to glass.
Natural colours and a muted palette dominate the collection – wooden chairs with tan leather seats, a brown ash table with a black stone surface, stone-washed table linens in taupe, khaki and off-white, and a cotton-covered love seat in beige or blue.
Speaking of the collection, Van Duysen says “I am drawn to organic, refined and natural materials with great texture, patina, and tactility.”
“Ultimately this collection is built on a pureness and essentialism that transcends styles, cultures and eras, furniture that embodies a universal humanity.”
